FLYING TAKES GRACE
CINEMATOGRAPHY TAKES HEART
Will, aka The TANK, has been flying for over thirty years. Currently, as Captain for a major U.S. airline, he can be found piloting a Boeing 777 to far-off destinations like Hong Kong, London, or Tokyo. With over 20,000 flight hours, expertise with FAA permitting and airspace regulations, Will brings experience and safety to TANK Aerial operations. Piloting the Inspire 2 in difficult and remote locations like taking off from the deck of a boat, is a normal Sunday for TANK Aerial.
Son of Tank, Steve is the creative eye behind Tank Aerial. With his first two features garnering Sundance nominations in 2016 and 2018, Steve has quickly gained recognition for his work as a cinematographer. His Leonardo DiCaprio produced Netflix
Docu-Series Fire Chasers, about California wildfires, received wide acclaim for its immersive visuals. In 2017 Steve’s work was also featured in GQ and Vogue and his cinematography in The Atlantic, Moviemaker, Filmmaker, and No Film School. Steve has an MFA in Cinematography from USC and is a 2008 Thomas J. Watson Fellow. He is also a member of IATSE Local 600 and is represented by DDA Talent.
