TANK Aerial produces high res images with the creative talent of our Sundance Film Festival recognized cinematographer and the precision flying of our airline captain / drone pilot. With multiple feature films, docu-series, and 20,000 flight hours under their belt, the TANK crew is prepared for anything.

TANK's goal is high quality, mobile ready drone work for productions of all sizes. Our Inspire 2s are outfitted with Zenmuse X5S cameras and licensed to shoot either 5.2K CinemaDNG or 4K ProRes formats. For international work & over urban areas, our drones are equipped with parachutes. With a top speed of 58mph/94kph, our Inspire 2s can handle just about anything we toss its way.

STEVE
Steve, Son of TANK, is the creative eye behind TANK Aerial. With his first two features garnering Sundance nominations in 2016 and 2018, Steve has quickly gained recognition for his work as a cinematographer. His Appian Way produced Netflix docuseries, Fire Chasers, about California wildfires, received wide acclaim for its immersive visuals. Recently, Steve’s work was also featured in GQ and Vogue and his cinematography in The Atlantic, ICG, Moviemaker, Filmmaker, and No Film School. Steve has an MFA in Film Productions from USC and is a 2008 Thomas J. Watson Fellow. He is also a member of IATSE Local 600 and is represented by APA Talent.
WILL
Will, aka TANK, has been piloting heavy jets with a major airline for almost thirty years. Currently, he can be found flying a 777 to far-off destinations like Hong Kong, London, or Sao Paulo. With over 20,000 flight hours, expertise with FAA permitting and airspace regulations, Will brings experience and safety to TANK Aerial operations. Flying the Inspire 2 in challenging and desolate locations... over the frozen Han river in South Korea... off the deck of a boat... chasing an aircraft... is what TANK does best.
